Abu Floos

This somewhat remote 600 house town with 5,000 people was originally a company-built town with a fertilizer factory and a water treatment plant. The 1991 bombing of the factory requires the workers to commute 50 km to the next-nearest fertilizer factory. Abu Floos had only one, small pump left operating, which pumped untreated river water directly to the people.
